“For me, Hartke is 'the sound' of thrash metal bass. Their HyDrive HD Bass Cabinets are better than ever and as a result, so am I.”
One of the most legendary and innovative bass players in metal, David Ellefson met Dave Mustaine when the two shared a southern California apartment complex in 1983. David appeared on every album and tour from 1985's Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good! up until 2002's Rude Awakening. After leaving Megadeth for a brief period, David formed F5 as a creative outlet for his extensive bass skills. As of February 2010, he has rejoined Megadeth after an 8-year hiatus and can be heard on Megadeth’s latest release, Thirteen. David will be on stage with Megadeth during The Big 4 of thrash metal shows.
