Malcolm Bruce is a composer and multi instrumentalist, playing guitar, bass, piano and voice. He has written songs, music for the theatre, media, for children, and also orchestral concert music. Malcolm has worked with a multitude of musicians over the years. Early in his career, he worked on Bill Ward's Ward 1, featuring Ozzy Osbourne and recorded with Dick Heckstall-Smith, as well as Brand X, featuring Percy Jones, John Goodsall and Pierre Moerlan. Malcolm has performed with his father, Jack Bruce, off and on over the years, and has also appeared on a number of Jack's recordings, most recently Shadows in the Air (2001) and More Jack Than God (2003), including performances by Eric Clapton, Dr. John and Horacio Hernandez. Malcolm's recent live work has included touring with Leslie West and Corky Laing (Mountain) as part of West, Bruce Jr. and Laing, a 60-date tour in support of Joe Satriani across Europe, the U.S. and Canada, as part of Ned Evett's Triple Double and a special Jimi Hendrix Birthday tribute at BB Kings Blues Club in NYC with Eric Schenkman (Spin Doctors) and Corky Laing. Malcolm's current projects include Sons of Cream with Kofi Baker, and work on his latest solo record, which will be released later this year.
