Stu Hamm
Independent / Educator
Stu Hamm is one of the top electric bass players in the world, having shared the stage and studio with some of the worlds greatest musicians. After meeting guitar virtuoso Steve Vai while attending the Berklee College of Music, Stu was featured on Vai's debut solo album Flex-Able. He then played with Joe Satriani and was also the bassist for the iconic G3 guitar tour, featuring his former collaborators and other legendary guitarists. Stu is also a revolutionary solo artist on the bass, having released five albums of his own. He helped to reshape the contemporary concept of the bass guitar as an unaccompanied instrument with the utilization of polyphonic, two-handed tapping, slapping and popping techniques, chords, and harmonics. Stu also created and took part in the BX3 bass show in 2006, alongside Billy Sheehan and Jeff Berlin. For the past two decades, Stu has developed himself into a world-class clinician. He has demonstrated his signature bass techniques and methodologies to avid students in-person and through his best-selling instructional videos.
