StudioDock™: A Monitoring Milestone for the iPod Generation
Samson unveils StudioDock, a USB studio monitor specifically designed for today’s music production needs. StudioDock allows you to play or “stream” digital audio via USB directly to the monitors. And because the music stays digital, StudioDock produces remarkably high quality audio. The monitors also provide an onboard iPod dock so you can sync, charge and play music from your iPod.
StudioDock makes life easy on musicians and producers that want to take their mix with them to listen on other consumer audio sound systems. It’s the perfect companion for today’s music producers who want true digital audio that sounds clearer and cleaner than a traditional analog cable with soundcard output.
In addition to the USB functionality and onboard iPod dock, StudioDock offers studio-quality performance. Available in 3i (3-inch woofer) and 4i (4-inch woofer) configurations, the monitors offer 2 x 15 watts and 2 x 20 watts of internal power respectively, along with a 25mm silk dome high frequency driver.
An all-in-one solution with studio-quality sound for the iPod generation was missing from the marketplace. StudioDock fills the void and provides an intuitive, comprehensive listening station for today’s musicians, producers and general music-lovers.
Versatile Monitors… From the Desktop to the Recording Studio
Samson is known for making audio equipment that accommodates a wide variety of applications, and our new MediaOne active monitors are no exception. While perfect for project studio applications, MediaOne monitors are equally at home in a video production suite or enhancing gaming and music experiences at a computer workstation.
The goal for MediaOne was to make them versatile enough to move beyond the studio. Consumers today use their computers for all kinds of multimedia applications. Our MediaOne monitors provide an accurate listening experience while adding a clean, professional look to the desktop.
Available in three configurations, MediaOne Active Monitors offer pristine, full-range sound. Each model is equipped with a 25mm high frequency tweeter and passive crossovers utilizing a multi-pole design for a linear response. The result is a compact cabinet that delivers solid bass response and extended highs.
To ensure our monitors run the gamut, from the desktop to the recording studio, we’ve also redesigned our Resolv line of reference monitors with precise engineering and an elegant new cabinet design. Resolv active reference monitors were developed to provide perfectly accurate monitoring in professional recording studios, project studios, post-production and other multimedia applications.
In addition to woven carbon fiber woofers, Resolv monitors feature a 1-inch silk dome tweeter, offering a smooth, sweet high frequency response. For cooler operation and low thermal compression, each Resolv model has an external heat-sink, ferro-fluid cooling and a ventilated ceramic motor structure. Constructed with medium density fiberboard for maximum SPL, the Resolv monitors have a sleek, professional appearance with a new black lacquer finish.
Available in three different woofer and amplifier configurations, this is the most professional Resolv series ever. We have completely re-imagined these reference monitors and developed the new line with elegant precision.
With these two new lines of reference monitors rounding out an already impressive selection, you can be sure that we have the right monitor for any application.
Samson’s L-Series Raises the Bar for Large Console Mixers
Samson is proud to announce the release of the new L3200, a 32-channel/4-bus professional mixing console engineered for a wide variety of live applications. A roadworthy mixer, the L3200 provides any operator with unparalleled control over both stage and crowd sound. And if 32 channels may surpass your mixing needs, Samson is also releasing the L2400, a 24-channel version of the L3200 with all the same great features.
Large faders and backlit mute switches ensure that these mixers have a distinct feel, so an engineer can feel comfortable and at-home behind either console. One of the many attributes that set the mixers apart is the assignable USB digital I/O for computer recording and playback. You can also build an independent mix for the USB, one that is completely different from your house mix. The L3200 and L2400 were also designed with ease of functionality in mind. We’ve focused as much attention on the user’s ability to utilize their features as we have on the features themselves. And features are abundant on both mixers.
In an industry where live performance can define you as a musician, engineer or promoter, Samson has provided two tools that can set you apart.
